Doug and Marielle just completed a trip to South America where they visited the Amazon, Machu Picchu and the Galapagos Islands!
Jonna Vanderslice, Kendall Hughes and Conner Howard all graduated with Honors this past May. In addition, both Conner and Jonna were inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society as well. Here they are doing their best impression of scorpion defensive posture and the official lab signs!
Jonna Vanderslice and Connor Howard both won an Honors College Award for Distinction in Undergraduate Research for their presentations at the URD 2018 last Saturday. They will be honored at an awards ceremony this Wednesday, April 18th, at 4:00pm in the Nancy L. Mergler Library in the Honors College.
Jonna Vanderslice, Conner Howard and Sara Kelley all presented their undergraduate research as part of the URD 2018. They have been tirelessly working to collect and analyze data and did a great job of presenting their results. Congratulations to them all.

Kendall Hughes successfully defended her Honors thesis this December on the electrophysiological recordings from the pectinal nerve and brain upon tactile stimulation of the pectines.
Jonna received a UROP funding award for her continuing work on the specific activity of P. utahensis when exposed to varying wavelengths of light. She plans to use this funding for equipment related to improving her experiment.
